The fact is that merchandising is a lot of effort for a fairly small return compared to other revenue sources and the business side of it (legal, taxes, etc) is very complex. It just wasn’t worth the effort. Merch only sells if you push it hard on people, which I have always tried not to do. I don’t want to be one of those content creators who pushes merch on the viewers/readers constantly. It’s annoying, isn’t it? I sure think so. Also have you seen my new T-shirt design? There, I just did it to you to remind you how annoying it is.
